This qualification allows for the attainment of competencies in explosive ordnance manufacture. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL for the Diploma of Explosive Ordnance Manufacture currently available?
We are currently in the process of identifying Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partners with the scope to deliver this specific qualification. While not yet open for enrolment, registering your interest ensures you are notified the moment a pathway is established.
Why should I register my interest now?

Is RPL the same as completing a training course?
No. While a training course teaches you new skills, RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is an assessment process that evaluates the skills you already possess. It recognises your existing expertise against the national standards of the qualification.
What if my work in ordnance manufacture is classified?
We understand the sensitive nature of defence work. If a pathway opens, your consultant will provide guidance on how to present evidence through redacted documents or third-party verification that respects security requirements while meeting assessment standards.
Can my Australian Defence Force experience be used for this Diploma?
Lived experience in munitions, ordnance handling, or defence manufacturing roles is highly relevant. The RPL process is designed to translate your service history and technical skills into formal, nationally recognised credentials.
