About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who assist with operational logistics and the delivery of recreational activities. They work under direct supervision and with guidance from those responsible for planning, finalising and delivering activities, including program managers and leaders.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and carries the same national weight as one earned through traditional study. The difference is how you demonstrate your competency; using your existing experience as evidence.
Does this qualification allow me to lead outdoor groups independently?
This Certificate II is designed for individuals working under direct supervision. It provides the foundational skills to assist in the delivery of sessions, but further training and experience would be required to move into independent leadership or program management roles.
What kind of activities can be used as evidence?
Evidence can be drawn from a wide range of outdoor environments, including bushwalking, paddle sports, abseiling, or horse handling. The key is demonstrating that you can assist in these sessions while following safety and environmental protocols.
