About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the work undertaken by individuals in regulatory and integrity service operations in the greyhound, harness and thoroughbred racing codes. It covers the role of stewards, specialist investigators and other integrity officials who require an extensive knowledge of the rules of racing, administrative law, racing protocols, animal welfare, safety and duty of care requirements.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Why should I register my interest?

Is RPL the same as studying the course?
No. RPL is a process of mapping your existing skills and years of experience against the national standards of the qualification. It is an assessment of what you already know, rather than a teaching program.
Which racing codes does this qualification cover?
The competencies attained apply across the greyhound, harness, and thoroughbred codes. Your final qualification will include a statement identifying the specific code in which your experience was assessed.
Do I need to be currently employed by a racing authority?
While current employment is not a strict requirement for the qualification itself, you will need to provide recent, verifiable evidence of your work within a regulatory or integrity environment in the racing industry.
