About This Qualification
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge to work on network systems in the electricity supply industry (ESI). This qualification covers work on the network systems in the specific fields of live line transmission, live line distribution, live line rail traction and/or installation and maintenance of specialised underground cables.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Yes, as a Certificate IV level qualification, your experience leading teams and managing safety protocols is highly relevant evidence for several core units.
What specialisations will be supported?
We aim to support various streams including Distribution High Voltage Live Line, Transmission Live Line, and Specialised Cable jointing based on RTO availability.
Do I need to be currently employed in the ESI?
While current employment provides the most direct access to recent evidence, your past experience in the sector remains a valid foundation for assessment.
