This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in the area of scaffolding operations in the residential and commercial construction industry. Occupational titles include scaffolder.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of identifying and vetting Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that meet our standards for scaffolding recognition. By registering your interest, you will be the first to know when a pathway is established.
Why should I register my interest now?
Registering allows us to understand the demand for this qualification and provides you with a preliminary review of your experience. This ensures you are prepared to begin the formal process as soon as an RTO partner is secured.
Is RPL for scaffolding the same as completing the course?
The assessment standards are identical. The difference lies in how you demonstrate competency; rather than attending classes to learn new skills, you provide evidence of the skills you already possess from your years on the tools.
Does this qualification cover intermediate scaffolding?
Yes, the core units for this qualification include the requirements for both basic and intermediate level scaffolding licences, reflecting the progression of expertise in the trade.
What happens if I have gaps in my scaffolding evidence?
If the RTO's assessor identifies areas where your evidence is insufficient, they will provide targeted gap training. This allows you to complete only the specific components required to meet the national standard.
Do I need a White Card to apply for RPL?
Yes, holding a current General Construction Induction (White Card) is a mandatory requirement for working on construction sites in Australia and is a core component of this qualification.
