About This Qualification
This qualification allows for the attainment of general skills and knowledge in police liaison. The qualification covers skills that allow police staff to complete routine activities in police liaison within a police environment.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that specialise in the POL training package. At this stage, we are accepting registrations of interest rather than active enrolments.
Why should I register my interest for this qualification?
Registering your interest ensures you are the first to be notified once we secure a partner RTO. This allows you to begin preparing your evidence portfolio early and ensures a smoother transition into the formal assessment process.
Is RPL the same as completing a police training course?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment of the skills you have already developed on the job. While the qualification is the same as one earned through study, the process focuses on evidence of your existing competence rather than new learning.
What kind of experience is relevant for this RPL pathway?
Assessors look for experience in facilitating community safety activities, liaising with culturally specific groups, and performing administrative or hazard management duties within a policing or similar community-focused environment.
Who will conduct the final assessment?
The formal assessment is conducted by a qualified assessor from one of our partner Registered Training Organisations. They will review your evidence portfolio to ensure it meets the national standards for the Certificate III in Police Liaison.
