About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of enrolled nurses with advanced skills who work in a specialised area of nursing practice under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse.Enrolled nurses integrate and adapt specialised, technical and theoretical knowledge to address a diverse range of clinical situations and challenges in their area of specialisation. They contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practice using research and participation in broader organisational quality processes.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

We are currently in the process of establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations that offer the HLT64121 Advanced Diploma of Nursing. At this stage, we are inviting candidates to register their interest.
Why should I register my interest now?
Registering your interest ensures you are the first to be notified when a suitable RTO partner is secured. It also allows us to begin understanding your experience so we can guide you effectively once the pathway is open.
Is RPL the same as completing a nursing course?
The assessment standards are identical. RPL simply allows you to demonstrate that you have already met those standards through your professional practice, rather than repeating the learning in a classroom.
Do I need to be a registered Enrolled Nurse for this RPL pathway?
Yes. Entry to this qualification requires you to be currently working in Australia as an Enrolled Nurse with current registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
What happens if my experience is only in one specialty?
This qualification is designed for specialised nursing practice. Your evidence portfolio will focus on how your specific technical and theoretical knowledge meets the advanced clinical standards required for the qualification.
