About This Qualification
This qualification describes the skills and knowledge for individuals working in regional and senior management roles in conservation and ecosystem management. Individuals with this qualification analyse, design and execute judgements using wide ranging technical, conceptual and skills and knowledge.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is this qualification currently available through RPL it?
We are currently establishing partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for the Advanced Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management. While not yet available for immediate enrolment, you can register your interest to be notified as soon as the pathway opens.

Registering your interest ensures you are among the first to be contacted when we secure a suitable RTO partner. Once available, we will offer a free skills review to determine if your senior management experience aligns with the qualification requirements.
Is an RPL qualification the same as one from full-time study?
Yes. A qualification achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning is issued by a Registered Training Organisation and carries the same national weight as one earned through traditional study. It recognises that your expertise has been demonstrated through years of practice rather than in a classroom.
What level of experience is expected for an Advanced Diploma?
This qualification is designed for those in senior or regional management roles. You should be able to demonstrate that you are accountable for group outcomes and the overall performance of a conservation workplace, involving technical, conceptual, and strategic decision-making.
Does this qualification cover cultural land management?
Yes, the Advanced Diploma includes electives focused on managing cultural processes and consultation within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisations, reflecting the importance of 'on country' management in modern conservation.
