About This Qualification
This qualification reflects the role of experienced drafters and building designers who apply their skills to complex building design projects. Practice at this level is underpinned by the ability to critically analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources to generate design solutions and manage the design project.
Important: RPL It Australia is a student support service. All assessment and qualification issuance is conducted by the delivering Registered Training Organisation. RPL It does not deliver training, conduct assessments, or issue qualifications.

What Is Recognition of Prior Learning?
Recognition of Prior Learning is a formal assessment process that evaluates skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained through your career against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
You gather relevant workplace evidence and a qualified assessor from the delivering Registered Training Organisation evaluates that evidence. If the assessor determines every competency requirement is met, the RTO issues the qualification.

Is RPL the same as completing a building design course?
No. Recognition of Prior Learning is an assessment process that evaluates the skills you have already gained through years of industry experience. It is not a training course, but a way to have your existing expertise formally recognised.
What are the entry requirements for this Advanced Diploma?
Candidates typically need to hold a Diploma of Building Design or demonstrate significant vocational experience and knowledge equivalent to the core units of that Diploma to be considered for this level of assessment.
Does this qualification cover Class 2-9 buildings?
